Profile
Bundy's Lock and Safe Co. Inc., first opened for business in 1929 by Mr. Bundy, a disabled Veteran of World War I. From that day to now, Bundy's Lock and Safe Co. is full of History that you can see and feel when you visit the store in Los Angeles, California.
Mr. Bundy started cutting keys in a small storefront and by 1940 hired a service man, Gerry Hawton. Then Gerry Hawton left to serve in the military and upon his return bought the business from Mr. Bundy. He soon had two service trucks and by 1955 had hired another service man, Paul Burmaster, who had just returned from the Korean War. Paul worked for Mr. Hawton until 1958 when he then purchased the business. By now the business was growing and more employees were being hired and in 1981 the company was incorporated and renamed Bundy's Lock and Safe Co. Inc. In 1990 Mr. Burmaster purchased B & C Lock and Key service in Westwood Village, which was owned by Clarence Conrad. Both Paul and Clarence have been members of the California Locksmith Association and several community organizations.
