Founded originally in the 1970's by George Beck, the retail plumbing storefront was purchased in 1980 by Meredith Galloway. Meredith was a local business owner that specialized in general home improvements and new construction since 1970. In 1980, Beck's was transformed from retail only to now include service. Over the next 10 years, Beck Plumbing grew vastly and started merging into the HVAC business. In 1999, it was decided to focus more on the community and the demands of the customers, and to reopen as a service only business and to no longer have the retail store front. In 2000, the new building arose on Burton Lane only newer and greater than before. Along with this, the new name emerged of Galloway Beck Plumbing, Heating & Cooling.
