McAdoo’s Towing & Crane Service has been family owned and operated since 1965. In 1965, Bill McAdoo opened McAdoo’s Auto Wrecking with the intent of eventually incorporating tow trucks into the business.
In the early 1980′s, the family opened McAdoo’s Sunoco Service Center at exit 1 in West Alexander, PA where the family was able to increase the line of tow trucks into the business. The Sunoco station was closed in the early 1990′s and concentrated on the towing and auto wrecking business exclusively. While building upon that portion of the business, we incorporated cranes into the towing line as well. The salvage yard still exists today, but is not currently functioning as we crushed it out in 2012. Only a small portion of cars / trucks remain there to date, but will ultimately remain as a portion of the business.
