In 1989, Jerry and Jim Clay purchased a small standard size tow truck and started helping people recover their vehicles when problems would occur. They would take turns answering calls from stranded motorists until they could finally afford a second tow truck. Later they purchased a truck repair shop located in the 200 block of South Commercial Street near downtown Fort Worth. The Clay family continues to serve its customers out of the same location today.
