Water Damage Restoration
FREE Estimates.Water damage restoration is the process of restoring a property back to pre-loss condition after sustaining any level of water damage. While there are currently no government regulations in the United States dictating procedures, the IICRC, Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification, do recommend standards of care. We use the IICRC procedural standard, which is the S500. It is based on reliable restoration principles, research and practical experience with extensive consultation and information gathered from numerous sources. These include the scientific community, the international, national and regional trade associations serving the disaster restoration industry, chemical formulators and equipment manufacturers, cleaning and restoration schools, restoration service companies, the insurance industry, allied trades persons and others with specialized experience.
Waterproofing
FREE Estimates.Water in your Basement? An interior French drain is the surest method of keeping your basement dry, it intercepts water as it enters your basement or crawl space However, if you have a finished basement, you’ll have to remove interior walls in order to install the system. That shouldn’t be a problem if water is ruining your basement anyway. Crews cut a channel around the perimeter of your basement floor, chip out the concrete approximately one foot from the wall, a trench is excavated and pitched. Where possible, the lowest course of block is tapped and bled (weep holes) in order to drain the walls. Fully slotted polyethylene drainage pipe is installed, covered with stone and connected to the Sump Pit. The water flows to a Sump Pit or collection tank sunk in the floor, and a sump pump sends it out to the yard or a storm drain. The channel is patched with a thin layer of concrete, except for a small gap at the edge, where PolyDrain catches any water that dribbles down the wall.
